On behalf of the entire team, I’m excited to share that Monte Carlo has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual list of Best Workplaces for 2021, as well as to the publication’s On the Rise category of companies under 4 years old. Hitting newsstands May 18 in the May/June 2021 issue, and as part of a prominent Inc.com feature, the list is the result of a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of American companies that have created exceptional workplaces and company culture whether teams are operating in person or remotely.

Founded in 2019, Monte Carlo is dedicated to helping companies accelerate the adoption of data by eliminating data downtime, in other words, periods of time when data is missing, inaccurate, or otherwise erroneous. To achieve this vision, the company released the world’s first automated, end-to-end Data Observability Platform that gives organizations data trust at each stage of the data pipeline. Over the past six months, the remote-first company has tripled in size, adding staff in the U.S., Canada, Israel, the U.K., and South America, among other locations across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams.

2021 has been a banner year for the company. In February, Monte Carlo announced their $25M Series B funding, led by Redpoint Ventures and GGV Capital, and was named one of the 2021 Enterprise Tech 30, a prestigious list of private companies identified by top VC and analysts as the most promising in enterprise tech.

“As we grow our team, this recognition signifies Monte Carlo’s commitment to creating a collaborative, remote-friendly culture that spans our global presence,” said Barr Moses, CEO and Co-Founder, Monte Carlo. “I couldn’t be more honored to work with such a stellar group of industry leaders as we pioneer a new category of solutions that make observability a priority for the modern data stack.”

Collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. singled out 429 honorees this year. Each nominated company took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, on topics including management effectiveness, perks, and fostering employee growth. The organization’s benefits were also audited to determine the company’s overall score and ranking.

“The definition of a positive workplace has changed drastically over the past year,” says Inc. magazine editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “Stocked fridges and nap pods were no longer perks many companies could rely on once work went remote. So, this year’s list is even more important as it reveals organizations that continue to enrich the lives of its employees amid a pandemic.”

Monte Carlo is the leading Data Observability partner for the FinTech, e-commerce, media, B2B software, and retail industries, counting data teams at Compass, Eventbrite, Mindbody, and Hippo Insurance among their customers.
